Contracts for Postadoption Contact

Abstract

Contracts for Postadoption Contact; Defines "legal relative"; authorizes certain parties to enter into written contract for postadoption contact that permits contact between adopted child & his or her legal relatives; provides that certain contract provisions are unenforceable; requires that postadoption contract include certain statements; authorizes any party to such contract to file contract with court; requires court to make contract part of final adoption order; provides that continuing validity of adoption is not contingent upon compliance with terms of contract; authorizes & providing requirements for enforcement, modification, or termination of contract; prohibits enforcement of contract in certain circumstances; provides for automatic termination of contract in certain circumstances.
