Abstract

Conditions of Pretrial Release; Requires officer to issue notice to appear rather than make custodial arrest in certain circumstances; specifies criminal defendants who are not charged with felony offenses are presumed to be entitled to release without monetary bail; requires such defendants to be released within specified period; provides requirements for monetary bail; requires that pretrial releasees be enrolled in specified notification system; requires pretrial release without money bail for pregnant women; revises factors to be considered in determining whether defendant charged with DUI manslaughter poses threat of harm to community for purposes of considering pretrial detention.
