Sanitary Sewer Lateral Inspection Programs

Abstract

Sanitary Sewer Lateral Inspection Programs; Authorizes counties & municipalities to access sanitary sewer laterals within their jurisdiction for specified purposes; requires counties & municipalities to notify private property owners within specified timeframe if county or municipality intends to access owner's sanitary sewer lateral; provides that counties & municipalities that establish programs are legally & financially responsible for all work done; requires counties & municipalities that establish programs to consider economical methods for counties & municipalities; authorizes program established by county or municipality to evaluate & rehabilitate sanitary sewer laterals on residential & commercial properties to use state or local funds allocated for environmental preservation or protection of water quality.
