Abstract

Elections; Requiring the Secretary of State to be elected rather than appointed; providing that an applicant must designate a party affiliation or select no party affiliation to be registered to vote; providing that a person who meets certain requirements may register to vote and cast a ballot on election day or at an early voting site; designating General Election Day as a paid holiday; authorizing an absent voter to submit a federal write-in absentee ballot or vote-by-mail ballot; revising the dates by which the Elections Canvassing Commission must certify certain election returns, etc.
