Abstract

Broadband Internet Service; Revises duties of Florida Office of Broadband; requires local technology planning teams to work with rural communities for specified purposes; requires office to develop GIS maps consistent with certain federal reporting standards; requires DEO to annually update maps & establish mechanism to receive & verify governmental & public input related to broadband Internet service; authorizes DEO to work with specified entities in developing mechanism; requires office to develop broadband infrastructure asset map; establishes Broadband Deployment Task Force for specified purpose; requires annual progress reports.
