Existing law establishes the Department of Health Care Access and Information, which is responsible for administering various programs with respect to health care professions and establishes various programs to facilitate the expansion of the health care workforce. This bill would require a general acute care hospital to report, annually and at the time and in the form requested by the department, certain information related to the types of specialties on the hospital's call panel to the department and would require the department to develop and maintain a searchable database of the reported information, as specified, and to make that database accessible to hospital staff.
