Regulations: economic impact report.

Abstract

The Administrative Procedure Act governs the procedure for the adoption, amendment, and repeal of regulations by state agencies. The act establishes the Office of Administrative Law to, among other things, review adopted regulations and report its recommendations to the Governor and the Legislature at the commencement of each general session. This bill would require the Legislative Analyst's Office to analyze regulations enacted on or after January 1, 2016, to December 31, 2022, inclusive, that affect the state's economic supply chain and the transportation of goods and submit a report of its findings to the Legislature by January 1, 2024.
