Vehicles: instruction permits.

Abstract

Existing law authorizes the Department of Motor Vehicles to issue an instruction permit to a physically and mentally qualified person who is, among other criteria, over the age of 17 years and 6 months. Existing law allows a person with a valid permit to operative a motor vehicle, as specified. This bill would clarify that a person, who is over 17 years and 6 months of age and possesses a valid permit, may operative a motor vehicle under supervision, as specified.
