Public Utilities Commission.

Abstract

The California Constitution establishes the Public Utilities Commission with jurisdiction over all public utilities, subject to control by the Legislature. The Public Utilities Act requires the commission to hold its sessions at least once in each calendar month in the City and County of San Francisco, authorizes the commission to also meet at such other times and places as may be expedient and necessary for the proper performance of its duties, and requires that meetings of the commission be open and public in accordance with the provisions of a specified state open meeting law. This bill would make nonsubstantive revisions to these provisions of the act.
