Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Abstract

Existing law, until January 1, 2021, establishes the Board of Behavioral Sciences, which is responsible for the licensure and regulation of marriage and family therapists, educational psychologists, social workers, and professional clinical counselors. Existing law states the intent of the Legislature that the board employ its resources for specified functions, including, but not limited to, the development and administration of licensure examinations and examination procedures consistent with prevailing standards for the validation and use of licensing and certification tests. This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.
