Property taxation.

Bill Subjects

Property Taxation.

Abstract

Existing law requires the county assessor in a county to furnish an estimate of the assessed valuation of property within the county's jurisdiction, as specified. Existing property tax law makes the assessor and the assessor's sureties liable on the assessor's official bond for all taxes on property that is unassessed through their willful failure or neglect. This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to that liability provision.
