Existing law establishes that the chief officer of the Department of Business Oversight is the Commissioner of Business Oversight, who is charged with regulating various business and financial entities. Existing law authorizes the commissioner to employ deputies, examiners, appraisers, and various other employees to discharge the duties imposed on the commissioner by law. This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
