Department of Business Oversight: document charges.

Abstract

Existing law, the Financial Institutions Law, regulates the activities of various financial entities, including commercial banks, industrial banks, trust companies, credit unions, and savings associations. Existing law establishes the Department of Business Oversight, which is under the direction of the Commissioner of Business Oversight, and is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Financial Institutions Law. Existing law authorizes the commissioner to charge 25 cents for each page copied when the department is required to furnish a copy of a filed paper, as prescribed. This bill would, instead, permit the commissioner to charge a maximum of 10 cents for each page copied in the above circumstances.
