California Cyber Range Pilot Project.

Abstract

Existing law, until July 31, 2020, requires the Superintendent of Public Instruction to convene a computer science strategic implementation advisory panel with a specified membership to develop and submit recommendations for a computer science strategic implementation plan to the Superintendent, the State Board of Education, and the Legislature. This bill would establish the California Cyber Range Pilot Project, under the administration of the California Cybersecurity Institute, to test the overall feasibility of the pilot project through a yearlong, multiphased effort, as specified. The bill would require the pilot project to produce a scalable model for a permanent California Cyber Range Program.
