Sexual battery.

Bill Subjects

Sexual Battery.

Abstract

Existing law prohibits several forms of sexual battery, including, among others, the touching of an intimate part of another person while that person is unlawfully restrained by the accused or an accomplice, and if the touching is against the will of the person touched and is for the purpose of sexual arousal, sexual gratification, or sexual abuse. Under existing law, sexual battery is punishable as a misdemeanor or a felony. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.
