Community colleges: Community College Completion Grant Program.

Abstract

Existing law establishes the California Community Colleges, under the administration of the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges, as one of the segments of public postsecondary education in this state. The board of governors appoints a chief executive officer known as the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges. Existing law establishes the Community College Completion Grant Program, under which each participating community college provides a grant award to students meeting specified requirements. Existing law requires the chancellor to report, on or before April 1, 2019, specified information regarding the number of grant award recipients under the program in various categories for the 2017–18 award year. This bill would change the deadline for submission of that report to April 15, 2019.
