Certificated employees: Commission on Teacher Credentialing: teacher evaluation system: report.

Abstract

Existing law establishes the Commission on Teacher Credentialing to issue teaching and services credentials, and to establish standards for the issuance and renewal of credentials, certificates, and permits. Existing law requires the commission to report to the Legislature and the Governor on the availability of teachers in California, including specified information, by April 15 of each year. This bill would require the commission to develop recommendations on a certificated employee evaluation system that is capable of being used by local educational agencies statewide and that contains specified measures. The bill would require the commission to submit a report containing those recommendations by January 1, 2018, to the Legislature and the Governor.
