Public postsecondary education: student loan payment program.

Abstract

Existing law establishes the University of California, under the administration of the Regents of the University of California, and the California State University, under the administration of the Trustees of the California State University, as 2 of the segments of public postsecondary education in this state. This bill would require the trustees, and would request the regents, to develop and implement a program to provide an incentive, as defined, to qualified students, as defined, who complete an undergraduate degree within 4 years at a campus of their respective system.
