SB 116

  • California Senate Bill
  • 2015-2016 Regular Session
  • Introduced in Senate Jan 14, 2015
  • Senate
  • Assembly
  • Governor

Eminent domain proceedings.

Abstract

Under existing law, certain government entities are empowered to obtain private property for public use through the power of eminent domain proceedings. Existing law requires that eminent domain proceedings commenced by serving the summons by publication include, in addition to the summons, a description of the property sought to be taken. This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to this provision.
