Eyeglasses.

Bill Subjects

Eyeglasses.

Abstract

Existing law prohibits an optician, optometrist, or physician and surgeon from dispensing, prescribing, or selling eyeglasses to a person who's sight is limited to one eye, or to specified public safety personnel who would normally wear those eyeglasses for on-duty employment, unless the eyeglasses are made of specified materials to resist shattering and the frames are nonflammable. An optician, optometrist, or physician and surgeon who violates these provisions is subject to discipline by his or her accrediting board. This bill would make a technical, nonsubstantive change to these provisions.
