Assault: force likely to produce great bodily injury.

Abstract

Existing law provides that, except as specified, every person confined in the state prison who commits an assault upon the person of another with a deadly weapon or instrument, or by any means of force likely to produce bodily injury, shall be guilty of a felony and punished by imprisonment in the state prison for 2, 4, or 6 years. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
