A resolution to propose to the people of the State of California an amendment to the Constitution of the State, by adding Section 29 to Article IV thereof, relating to the Legislature.

Abstract

The California Constitution requires the Legislature to convene in regular biennial session at noon on the first Monday in December of each even-numbered year to consider legislation. This measure would require the Legislature to convene a joint committee during each regular session to hear testimony from business representatives regarding how to improve job creation and economic development in the state. It would require the committee to transmit a record of the recommendations received to each Member of the Legislature for the purpose of the Legislature's passage of legislation to improve job creation and economic development.
