Target Area Contract Preference Act.

Abstract

Existing law, the State Contract Act, generally governs contracting by state agencies. The Target Area Contract Preference Act requires a state agency to award a bidding preference to companies meeting specified requirements, and makes certain declarations in this regard. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to the Legislature's declarations.
