Horse racing: quarter horse races.

Abstract

Existing law establishes the California Horse Racing Board, and gives that board specified duties, including authorizing a licensed quarter horse racing association that is conducting a live racing meeting in this state to accept wagers on specified races, including the American Quarter Horse Racing Challenge. This bill would authorize the board to authorize a licensed quarter horse racing association that is conducting a live racing meeting in this state to accept wagers on a quarter horse stakes race with a purse equal to or greater than $150,000.
