Assault: force likely to produce great bodily injury.

Abstract

Existing law provides that any person who commits an assault upon the person of another by any means of force likely to produce bodily injury shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for 2, 3, or 4 years, or in a county jail for not more than one year, or by a fine not to exceed $10,000, or by both the fine and imprisonment. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
