Under existing law, the Department of Water Resources operates the State Water Project and exercises specified water planning functions. Existing law requires the department to update The California Water Plan, which is a plan for the conservation, development, and use of the water resources of the state, every 5 years. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
