Horse racing: racetrack improvement contracting: small business and disabled veteran business enterprises.

Abstract

Existing law, the Horse Racing Law, generally regulates horse racing and parimutuel wagering on horse races and provides for the allocation of certain funds for various purposes including capital improvements on horse racing facilities. This bill would require at least 10% of the total amount of all state contracts for the infrastructure improvement of any racetrack grounds in the state to be let to small business or disabled veteran business enterprises, as defined.
