State government: information technology: environmental practices.

Abstract

Under existing law, the State Chief Information Officer is required, among other things, to advise the Governor on the strategic management and direction of the state's information technology resources. This bill would require the State Chief Information Officer to establish and enforce a state information technology strategic plan to protect the environment and reduce energy use. The bill would require the strategic plan to include specified elements.
