Administrative regulations: legislative review.

Abstract

Existing law, the Administrative Procedure Act, governs the procedure for the adoption, amendment, or repeal of regulations by state agencies and for the review of those regulatory actions by the Office of Administrative Law. This bill would require a standing committee with jurisdiction over a state agency proposing to adopt a regulation with a gross cost in excess of $10,000,000 to hold an informational hearing regarding the proposed regulation.
